District Council is the governing body that oversees all activities within the District. It is currently comprised of 27 high school students who have a fervent passion for Interact. They dedicate a copious amount of time to keep the District's inner workings running smoothly. Much of this work is behind the scenes, so Interactors do not normally see all the effort and time that the District Council puts in, but trust in the Council that they are working very hard. They also organize and plan all of the District wide events such as the Fall Leadership Conference.

District Council is comprised of a District Governor, a District Lt. Governor, various coordinators, and 13 Area Representatives, one for each Area. The Governor and Lt. Governor are elected democratically by all the Interactors that attend the Spring Banquet. All the other Council members are then chosen by the Governor and Lt. Governor after an interview process.
