End Polio Now Shirt Order Form
Join Interact as they embark on their 2010 journey to the Philippines! Details are listed below for those who are interested. Make sure to reserve your spot ASAP because space will be limited!
WHEN: Tentative dates are set for July 26th-August 5th
WHERE: We will be landing in Manilla and the air carrier will most likely be Philippine Airlines
HOW MUCH?: Depending on the cost of tickets and how many Interactors decide to actually go, this trip can cost anywhere from $1300 and up (be prepared for around $1500). The more sign ups we get will mean that we will have to stay in a hotel increasing the price of the trip. But all are still welcome!
WHAT WILL WE DO!?: Listed below is the tentative itinerary
Day 1: Make a courtesy call or just a visit to the US Embassy, then probably we proceed to the Senate and/or Malacanan Palace where our president officially resides.
Day 2: Our first rotary activity; tree planting at the La Mesa Watershed (this is where we get our potable water).
Day 3: Medical/Dental Mission; this will be conducted in our Rotary Community Corps
Day 4: Our first tour of the countryside, Tagaytay and Taal or we take a splash on a beach in Batangas.
Day 5: New Born Screening at the Fabella Hospital and get to witness an actual delivery of a baby; then blood donation to the Red Cross
Day 6: Feeding program (this is a six month acitvity wherein indigent children are monitored on their nutrition and growth devt)
Day 7-10: Sight seeing trip to Northern Philippines (Subic and Clark, former US Military bases; Vigan, Pagudpud, cagayan, Banawe Rice Terraces, etc)
Added to that, part of our district's funds (from last year) will go to the construction of 2 classrooms intended for 3rd and 4th year high school students located at the remote area in Butuan City in Mindanao. Right now, the school can only cater up to 2nd year. This project is special to them since children will no longer walk a 15 km distance going back and forth on a daily basis.

01/11: What's Going On?!
Hello Everyone!!
We would like to thank and congratulate all of you for all of your hard work towards End Polio Now! Your efforts have definitely been showing!!
So the two of us (Jeanie and Nikita) have been hard at work trying to find different way to spread the news and awareness about EPN. We recently just held an EPN t-shirt contest and will be announcing the winner(s) very shortly. Check back to see who won! Added to that, we have created a Cause on Facebook titled 'Interact to End Polio!'. We are hoping to reach out to different Interact districts, as well as earn a few donations!
And finally, we would like to invite you to our annual President's Winter Retreat 2010 (PWR). Come spend February 6-7 bonding with dedicated Interactors from around the district as well as the District Council. There will be team building activities, different workshops to help you finish the year strong as well as prepare for next year. Added to that, the two of us will be giving a presentation on EPN in which we will discuss what we are exactly doing, different fundraising methods, AND our EPN TSHIRT! Come join us for a GREAT weekend full of fun, friendship, excitement, and passion to End Polio! Hope to see you there!
